From September 16–18, 2024, the IGTD EXIM Chamber of Commerce led a high-impact business delegation to Saudi Arabia, reinforcing the growing trade and economic partnership between the two nations. The visit aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and focused on high-potential sectors including agriculture, food, spices, meat, poultry, and marine products.
The three-day mission offered delegates an engaging experience in the Kingdom’s thriving business landscape. Highlights included participation in FOODEX Saudi 2024, the country’s premier international food and beverage exhibition, where Indian businesses connected with global industry leaders, explored emerging market trends, and identified collaboration opportunities.
A key component of the visit was engaging with major retail giants. Delegates met procurement teams at Lulu Hypermarket and Grand Hypermarket, gaining valuable insights into sourcing processes, quality standards, and consumer preferences in Saudi Arabia. These meetings paved the way for potential long-term supplier agreements and promotional opportunities for Indian products.
Swara Overseas Pvt. Ltd. was proud to be part of this landmark initiative. As a fast-growing exporter of rice, lentils, spices, sweet corn, and edible oils, the company used this platform to explore new business avenues, strengthen relationships with potential partners, and deepen its understanding of the Saudi market’s evolving demands.
The delegation also engaged in strategic business discussions at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, exploring ways to expand the presence of Indian companies in the Kingdom across sectors such as FMCG, agriculture, renewable energy, and technology. Meetings with Saudi EXIM Bank examined trade financing solutions to support Indian exporters entering the Saudi market.
The mission concluded on a highly successful note, with renewed momentum for trade growth and a clear roadmap for future collaborations. Swara Overseas looks forward to building on the connections made during this visit and contributing to stronger India–Saudi Arabia economic ties.
